Ok, that’s BS: I may have heard a similar one long ago and now I’m kinda recalling it, but it gives you a special feeling to hear one of those songs for the first time anyway (and, what the hell: you see colours when you hear sounds? I detect cosmic schemes when I hear tunes!)
Thank you! I’m glad that you like the tune and that it has such a resonance for you. I am curious to know which song that it recalls for you. I think my influences were probably Bobby Strayhorn (the ‘lush life’ intro?) and Radiohead. I am indebted to a lot of good chord-writers :)
